"Rutgers Meets Japan" 150th Anniversary T-Shirt Design Workshop
Wednesday, 29 January 2020, 11:30am -  1:00pm

The year 2020 marks the 150th anniversary of two landmark events in the history of Rutgers-Japan relationship: an untimely death of Kusakabe Taro, the first of the many young samurai from Japan who graduated from the Rutgers College, and the departure to Japan of his friend, tutor, and a Rutgers alumnus, William E. Griffis. The Department of Asian Languages and Cultures will make T-Shirts for this special year, and would like to invite students to participate in a workshop with the Graphic Designer Ian DeFalco of the Office of Communications, SAS, to take part in the
designing process.

We want your input!

Date & Time:
Date: January 29 (Wed),
Place: College Ave. Academic Building Room 2150

**Three designs based on the outcome of the workshop will be announced to be voted by
faculty and students affiliated with the Asian Languages and Cultures Department in mid-
February.

T-shirts will be on sale in early March.
