Description: This course explores how various aspects of the Cold War were expressed through literature, motion pictures, radio broadcasting, and popular music in mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and other trans-pacific regions. Key issues explored include refugees and migration, spies and defectors, international friendship and new enemies, sports and dance diplomacy.
